1 – Innate faith arises in times of adversity:
Man believes in Allah instinctively. Actually, the subject of today's lecture is divided into two parts:
1 – Believing in Allah by instinct.
2 – Believing in Allah by evidences.
The Fitrah (natural inborn instinct which recognizes Allah) is like a pure clean mirror which reflects anything in front of it, but if there is a thick smoke near it, it will lose its clearness and its ability to reflect, at this moment the need for evidence appears. So, believing in Allah is either by sound Fitrah, or by rational evidence and scientific proof.
In general, any man whether he is old or young, literate or ignorant, rich or poor, powerful or weak, living in the city or in the countryside, genius or stupid, believes innately that there is no one to be worshipped but Allah. To illustrate this point, consider the example a bigoted atheist who has too many proofs according to his false perception that there is no God, and who boards a ship, then in the middle of the sea, the waves become as mountains, and the ship moves between the waves as a feather in the wind, that atheist will then turn to Allah the Almighty to help him. Also, a number of atheist experts boarded a plane, and when the plane flew through air pockets, and they knew for sure that it would almost fall, they invoked Allah sincerely to help them.
